Participants will gain practical knowledge on local regulations, predator protection, and manure management, helping you confidently care for your own backyard flock. Whether you're looking for fresh eggs, natural pest control, the joy of raising chickens, or simply planning to start with a few hens or improve your current setup, this two part workshop will provide the insights and resources needed for success. No prior experience required!
This course is being offered online for the first time, and is perfectly timed for those looking to start a flock before winter — you'll still have plenty of time to purchase chicks, brood them, and get them settled into their coop before the cold sets in. The class is offered online in two engaging 3-hour sessions, with plenty of time for Q&A and discussion. To keep things personal and interactive, class size is limited to 15 participants, and there is a minimum amount of students for the class to run.
Schedule is Monday July 28th and Tuesday July 29th from 6:00PM EST to 9:00PM EST.
