What Sunray Sustainability Does
Sunray Sustainability designs, builds, and stewards community-centered food systems and productive green spaces. Guided by ecologically sound principles, the work focuses on creating resilient, food-producing landscapes and the systems that support them—while also developing Sunray Community Farm as an educational, regenerative farm and nursery project in the Capital Region.
Community-Based Project Consulting
Over the past several years, this work has been carried out through Sunray Sustainability, supporting projects that strengthen community food systems through regenerative food production, ecological green spaces, and place-based education. It includes the design and stewardship of gardens, orchards, community composting initiatives, and outdoor learning environments throughout the Capital Region.
The focus is on building practical, enduring systems that integrate soil health, water management, plant systems, and community use into cohesive, productive landscapes. Underlying this work is a belief in the importance of community-based agriculture and a long-term commitment to caring for the more-than-human world.
Ongoing consulting work is currently focused on a small number of close, long-term collaborations, including partnerships with Wildwood Programs and the West Hill Refugee Welcome Center. At this time, additional capacity is being directed toward the development of Sunray Community Farm, and new consulting projects are not being taken on, although you’re welcome to contact us and tell us about your project.
