RESIDENTIAL
PERMACULTURE DESIGN CONSULTATIONS

Onsite permaculture design consultations are a specific thing, and are for owner-occupied residences and owner-occupied land only.

Our focus with consults is on evaluating what your project needs to thrive, cultivate biodiversity, help regenerate the natural world, and meet your needs in a beyond sustainable way. It all starts with an in-depth analysis of your residence or land. The overall goal is to help you understand the features and limitations of your location most related to your vision and goals. The analysis performed is beyond basic advice or standard observations, your site will be examined through a whole systems lens.

Together we will discuss concrete details about various defining aspects of your project including, but not limited to, topography, flora and fauna, soil conditions, structure condition, water management, waste systems, energy systems, infrastructure and access to the site, ecological sustainability, analysis of solar aspects, prevailing wind directions, climatic factors, and beyond.

Walk Through Analysis Process

Our permaculture consultation service is rooted in the integration of permaculture ethics and design principles into a clear, actionable plan tailored to your site and goals. Each consultation includes a thorough examination of key site features—such as soil quality, water flow, sun exposure, existing buildings, and other relevant infrastructure. We provide thoughtful recommendations for plant selections, including fruit, nut, berry, pollinator-friendly, native, and multifunctional species that support ecological regeneration and balance. You’ll receive sustainability recommendations to help you better manage your resources, reduce waste, and work with natural systems. We also assess current features and limitations of your site, offering insights on how to enhance existing systems, add beneficial functions, and navigate site-specific challenges. Our suggestions extend to strategic placement of elements like orchards, composting systems, access roads, and structures. The result is a personalized, creative, and practical plan that helps you move confidently toward your vision. The visit lasts around 1.5 hours. At this time we only provide consultations and design work for residential clients, meaning we do not perform any installation, building, or implementation work on residential properties.
